The 2008 Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships return to New York City’s Van Cortlandt Park next Friday, October 31, for the 60th time in the last 61 years. Due to the shared rotation with the Big East conference, the Ivy races are scheduled to get underway a little later than in previous years.

The men will be up first, with their 5-mile race starting at 12:30 pm, while the women’s 5k race is slated to begin at 1:30 pm. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at 2:15 pm.

The park grounds are currently undergoing a series of renovations and this year’s course will see significant changes, including a new starting point. See below for a rundown of this year’s event, including a video clip detailing the course changes.
